Experimental seed addition in a small field study resulted in seedlings in 13% of plots after three years (Brudvig et al. 2011).
Moderate seed output; no vegetative spread (Barkely 1986, Gleason and Cronquist 1991).
Grows up 5 feet tall (Barkely 1986, Gleason and Cronquist 1991), and may not be the best selection for urban restorations (Mabry, personal observation).
